About us

The director, Carla Fogazzi, has been involved in bookkeeping for more than 25 years.

Carla started CBK Business Solutions as a sole trader back in 2003.

CBK Business Solutions now has a team of bookkeepers.

CBK Business Solutions has grown through word of mouth referrals received from their clients and accountants.

Some of the close by localities they do work for include Carrum Downs, Mount Eliza and Frankston.

Additionally, we work in a range of fields, such as construction, builders, mechanics, nursing homes, and manufacturing. Our expertise in these industries allows us to provide you with advice and recommendations to help you improve your business and bookkeeping experience.

How it works

What does this mean for you?

Before the regulations came info force, bookkeepers could complete a MYOB or Quickbooks course and start charging for their services. Unfortunately without the proper experience and knowledge they often left a mess.

There was no protection for the client and their only option was to try and find another bookkeeper who could sort out the mess. It could turn into a very costly exercise – both financially and emotionally

Breaching this Code of Conduct can result in termination of BAS Agent registration and Civil Penalties with fines up to $137,500.

At last there is something you can do if you have been left in a mess.

We are Registered BAS Agents so that gives you confidence in the numbers, but more importantly the team at CBK Bookkeeping Services believes that good bookkeeping is more than just getting the compliance right – it is about empowering you with the information and knowledge to manage

As a BAS Agent we are required to operate under a Professional Code of Conduct in relation to:

Honesty, integrity and confidentiality

Independence (acting lawfully)

competence

BAS agent

In March 2010 the rules for bookkeepers changed dramatically when the ATO regulated the industry.

All bookkeepers providing BAS services are required to be registered as a BAS Agent with the ATO.

The ATO requirements for a BAS Agent are:

  • Certificate IV in Financial Service – Bookkeeping or Accounting
  • Member of a recognised Professional Association
  • Over 1,000 hours of relevant experience
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Ongoing Professional Development
